Design Notes
Our Flag Style Handguard design uses a one-piece 7000 series aluminium mount. Placing the mount near the clutch, brake perch allows the aluminium to absorb much of the impact in a severe tip-over, while also protecting the perch and brake lines. The mount width has been optimized to free up handlebar space compared to traditional handguards. Through multiple design iterations, we’ve balanced mount strength to reduce the force transferred to the handlebars in a crash, helping prevent bent bars. We’d rather you bend a mount (easy fix) than a handlebar.
The plastic flag is thermoformed from solid UHMW using the same proprietary process as our skid plates. This ensures the plastic holds its shape better under impact. Its contour has been refined over several versions to shield the upper hand from rock roost and the outer fingers from brush. This lets you push through challenging terrain with less fatigue, making rides smoother and races faster.
Enduro vs. Moto Flags
Enduro Flags: Preferred by most woods riders. The thickest handguard flags available, they provide a suspension-like feel, letting you sense obstacles without losing control, while still pushing past them.
Moto Flags: Similar in stiffness to OEM handguards, but with significantly more coverage and protection.
Similarities: Same mount, same shape. Just different flex! Flags can be purchased separately and used with your existing mounts. Have a second of a different thickness for different terrain conditions.
