Molecule Motorsports are experts in Thermo-Forming UHMW skid plates, producing a skid plate that beats all others. These plates are built in the USA right next door to Vanasche Motorsports so it made sense to partner up and offer their premium products right alongside their own and for Adventure Bike components to offer these in Australia as the Vanasche distributor.

  • Cut from UHMW (Ultra High-Molecular Weight Polyethylene) plastic and formed for an exact fit on each bike model to provide the ultimate in protection from rocks, stumps and other obstacles we encounter in technical off road riding conditions.
  • This plate is made from 9.5mm thick UHMW that is Thermo-Formed for an exact fit the first time. This is not cold-broke and welded like HDPE plates. UHMW has 10X the impact resistance of HDPE and is self-lubricating for an extremely low coefficient of friction unlike the competition.
  • We wanted to produce a plate that was extremely tough, durable, highly wear & impact resistant, and still offered the sound abatement qualities of plastic plates. Coming from an industrial background we knew that the only real option that would outperform all other plastics in an application such as this was UHMW (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene).
