Thread repair kits come with

  • Correct sized drill bit
  • Thread Tap
  • Thread inserts ( stainless Steel) and tools to install

The Process

  • Drill the tripped thread with drill provided
  • Tap hole with Tap provided
  • Screw new thread into hole until just below the surface
  • use tool provided to snap off tang from bottom of thread
  • you now have a thread much stronger than the aluminium original one.
